Intended audience

Aspiring operators of companies operating in the wind sector or in a sector connected to it.

Prerequisites

All participants in a GWO training course must create a WINDA profile on the Global Wind Organisation website in order to obtain an identification code (ID WINDA) which must be provided to the deed of registration.    
Participants in the BST (Basic Safety Training) modules must be in good psyco-physical condition self certified. Age of majority or parental consent.
Should the health conditions change during the training, the work activities must stop immediately unless the participant presents a clearance from the doctor. The training center has the right to exclude a participant from training or examination in the event of doubts about health, fitness or safety attitude.

Objectives

The objectives of this BST module are to create the necessary skills to prevent and manage the fires.

Course fee

300,00€ per participant at Kong premises (VAT exempt).

PPE and Log Book

Participants are required to wear functional  training clothing and safety footwear – the teacher at the beginning of the course will assess the suitability of the footwear; if the footwear is not suitable, the participant will be excluded from the courses.  
Who has already the Kong Log Book, should bring it in order to update.

Checks and evaluation

Participants will be assessed on the basis of learning outcomes by direct observation during training and final written test.

Teaching material

The necessary documentation will be provided for the in-depth study of the topics covered.

Teaching methodology

The courses are conducted with an interactive method, in order to involve the participants, stimulate their interest, encourage discussion on practical cases from their experience.
This allow the course contents to be adapted to the needs of the participants themselves.

Attendance certificates and participants’ evaluation

Participants who, in addition to have attended at least 90% of the hours scheduled for the module, have successfully passed the learning tests, will be issued a certificate valid for the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standard and the certificate for the average risk in accordance with italian legislation. 

Duration of the GWO certificates of attendance

All the GWO certificates of the modules described above are valid for 24 months.

Payment procedure

Bank transfer within two days of receipt of the course confirmation.

Cancellation

In case of cancellation, Kong S.p.A. will retain:

  • 50% of the course fee if cancellation is done 2 working days before the course starts
  • the whole fee if cancellation is done the day of the course
