Intended audience

Civil protection operators in the staff of entities, which already have the skills provided for in SAR L2.
On request, for non-standard or specific situations, it is possible to plan customized courses to be carried out at the customer's premises.

Objective

The training course for "SAR L3 search and rescue operators" is intended for civil protection operators in the staff of entities that, having already the skills required in SAR L2 and, having already had experience of training and real rescue in natural or artificial scenarios where it was necessary to use ropes for their own safety, they intend to learn the correct use of complex equipment such as tripods, bipods, monopods and their accessories, as well as various types of stretchers including helixable. Even if the course is mainly practical, in the initial phase it takes a few hours dedicated to learning some principles of physics.

Contents

Theory (8 hours)    

  • The progression on difficult, brittle, wet, icy terrain.
  • Insurance methods, anchor creation, redundancy.
  • Equipment, approach to choice.

Training (32 hours)

  • Methods of communication.
  • Correct use of complex equipment.
  • The helicopter rescue.
  • Correct use of stretchers available on the market.

PPE and Log Book

Participants are advised to bring functional training clothing and footwear and their own PPE, if already in possession. If the PPE are not suitable, the organization will provide them.
Those who have already taken courses at Kong SpA and already have a Log Book, please bring it to record updates.

Certification

A certificate of attendance is issued after verification of positive learning.

Refresher course

A three-year update with verification is planned.
