Temporary Multi-Purpose Anchorage Device
The Kong LIGON is a Category III textile anchorage device (PPE), designed to provide maximum flexibility and reliability during work at height. Thanks to its innovative loop-based structure, it allows the creation of multiple fixed and stationary anchorage points quickly and securely, without the need to install structural anchors or permanent fixing elements on the structure.
Available in 3 lengths: 180 cm, 310 cm and 450 cm.
Main Features and Nomenclature
Manufactured using a combination of ultra-high-strength materials, the webbing integrates polyester and Dyneema®, joined by structural stitching made of durable polyamide. The intelligent design of the LIGON consists of three key elements:
- Main loop (A): Specifically shaped for creating a girth hitch configuration.
- Intermediate loops (B): A series of loops distributed along the body of the device, providing multiple attachment options and length adjustment possibilities.
- End loop (C): Positioned at the opposite end to complete anchorage configurations.
Performance and Safety Certifications
LIGON is a versatile device compliant with the most stringent European safety standards:
- EN 795:2012 Type B Certification: Approved as a mobile/temporary anchorage device intended for protection against falls from height.
- CEN/TS 16415:2013 Type B Compliance: Tested and approved for simultaneous use by up to 3 users, making it ideal for work teams and complex rescue operations.
- During certification tests (performed on the 450 cm version), the device recorded a maximum deflection of 520 mm and a maximum transmitted force of 10 kN.
System Compatibility
To ensure maximum effectiveness within a fall arrest system, the Kong LIGON is fully compatible with:
- Connectors compliant with EN 362.
- Harnesses compliant with EN 361, EN 358 and EN 813 standards.
- Energy absorbers compliant with EN 355 (please note that the system must limit the dynamic forces transmitted to the user to a maximum of 6 kN in the event of a fall arrest).
