Intended audience

Civil protection operators in the staff of organizations, who already having the skills provided for in SAR L1 and having already gained experience, intend to increase the purely technical skills baggage.
On request, for non-standard or specific situations, it is possible to plan customized courses to be carried out at the customer's premises.

Pre-requisites

Participants must be:

  • in good, self-certified physical and mental condition;
  • of age.

Objectives

The known training course for “SAR L2 search and rescue operators” internationally also as "Search And Rescue Steep Angle" is a mainly practical course and aims at the acquisition of individual technical skills in the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment of the 3rd category against fall and of the medical devices of 1st Class (transport sheets , spine boards, sedan stretchers, rollable stretchers, extraction and dragging facilitators).
At the end of the course the student knows how to adequately protect himself against a fall from a height, he knows how to use hoists, the evacuation descenders at constant speed, he knows how to set up and use correctly the medical devices for the transport of an injured person.

Entry fee

To be defined based on the location and activity requested. VAT exempt art.10 n.20 D.P.R. 633/1972.

Confirmation of the course will be sent by e-mail at least 10 working days before the fixed date.

Contents

Theory (4 hours)

  • Identification of dangers and risk assessment
  • The dynamics of the fall

Training (20 hours)

  • Personal Protective Equipment, correct use, maintenance, checks.
  • The temporary lifeline, assembly and correct use.
  • The vertical lifeline, assembly and correct use.
  • Upward and downward evacuation systems.
  • Medical devices in 1st class.

PPE and Log book

Participants are advised to bring functional training clothing and footwear and their own PPE, if already in possession. If the PPE are not suitable, the organization will provide them. Those who have already taken courses at Kong SpA and already have a Log Book, please bring it to record updates.

Certification

A certificate of attendance is issued after verification of positive learning.

Refresher course

A three-year update with verification is planned.

Payment procedure

Bank transfer within two days of receipt of the course confirmation. Registration will only be officially confirmed upon receipt of the fee.

Cancellation

In case of cancellation Kong S.p.A. will retain:

  • 50% if the cancellation is made within 5 working days before the beginning of the course
  • the entire fee if the cancellation is made from the fourth working day before the beginning of the course, at the beginning of the course or after the course has started

Any absences for health reasons only entitle the fee to be suspended.
