Helicopter Cabin Anchorage System
The Monkey Belt 4.0 is the new webbing-based safety system designed to protect operators on board during special operations, particularly when the door is open and during boarding or disembarking in flight or hovering.
Installed on suitable rings in the rear cabin of helicopters, this system provides a secure and practical anchorage point for personnel involved in rescue, transport, or setup operations.
Composed of webbing segments connectable between two anchor points, each section can accommodate up to two operators simultaneously.
Each element of the system is equipped with:
• Integrated load limiter, which in the event of a fall reduces the forces transmitted both to the operator and to the cabin rings, ensuring a high level of protection.
• Overload indicator, a visual signal that shows if the system has been subjected to a fall, simplifying pre-use inspections.
• Side reinforcements that keep the webbing open, making it easier to attach the connector even in challenging operational conditions.
The webbing can be supplied with a Tango connector, allowing the system to be quickly detached from the rings and placed in “parking mode,” where it can also serve as a handle.
Alternatively, it can be fitted with a quick link, for those who prefer a fixed installation on board the helicopter.
The Monkey Belt 4.0 is certified according to EN 795:2012 Type B and CEN/TS 16415:2013, allowing simultaneous use by two operators, and has been tested with dynamic loads up to 200 kg.
Available in various lengths, it is compatible with multiple aircraft models — for example, Airbus H135 and H145 helicopters — making it ideal for rescue crews, technical operators, and special forces requiring safety, reliability, and rapid deployment.
The product is available in different lengths, versions, and connector options. For assistance in selecting the most suitable configuration for your needs, please contact your area manager (link).
